This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany); the servers are located in Germany (EU). When the website is accessed, the server automatically stores access data in log files:

• shortened (anonymised) IP address – the last block is removed immediately, so no conclusions about individual persons are possible,
• date and time of access,
• page or file requested and volume of data transferred,
• referring page (referrer),
• browser and operating system details (user agent).

The purpose is the technical delivery as well as the stability and security of the website (e.g. defending against attacks). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning web presence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log data is retained in anonymised form for statistical purposes for up to 24 months.

Individual areas of this website are password-protected (the delivery of the beta version and our internal statistics). If a sign-in fails there, we keep a separate record — in order to fend off unauthorised access — of the time, the full IP address, the approximate location derived from it, the area concerned and the type of failure. The password entered is not stored — neither in plain text nor encrypted nor as a checksum. The full IP address is required here because a truncated address does not allow us to tell a user with a typo apart from an automated attack. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of our systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These entries are deleted automatically after 30 days.

To measure reach, we analyse the anonymised server log files mentioned above using the GoAccess software directly on our own server. This produces purely statistical evaluations (e.g. number of page views, approximate countries and cities of origin, referring pages). No cookies, no JavaScript tracking and no third-party services are used; the data is not merged with other sources and is not transferred to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the website operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This website does not use cookies. Only your language choice (German/English) is – if you change it – stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, entry “dsp-lang”) so that the site appears in your chosen language on your next visit. This entry is technically necessary, contains no personal data, remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings. As it is a technically necessary function, no consent is required for it.

The DrawingStamp Pro desktop software periodically – and when downloading a new version – checks our server for available updates. In doing so it transmits a pseudonymous identifier to our server (Hetzner, Germany): the license ID (an identification number of the license, not a clear name), a shortened device identifier, the installed and the available program version (build), the update channel and the operating system. No clear name is transmitted or stored on the server. We use this information solely to provide update delivery and to understand which license runs which software version (e.g. to offer targeted support and to detect outdated installations). The legal basis is the performance of the licensing/usage relationship and our legitimate interest in securely providing and maintaining the software (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS); the IP address is anonymised in our server log files. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.

If you contact us by email, via the contact form or via the beta sign-up form, we process the data you provide solely to handle your request. Via the contact form we collect your name, business email address, number of employees, website, the measuring machine and CAQ system you use, the topic of your request and your message, plus – optionally – company and phone number; we need these details in order to classify and answer your enquiry. To keep automated spam out, the form includes a small arithmetic question that our own server poses and verifies – no cookies are set and no data is passed to third parties. For beta participation we collect your email address as well as your name, company, industry, company size, phone number, operating system, the measuring machine and CAQ system you use and your message; these details are required to select and support beta testers. The beta form is likewise protected against automated requests by the arithmetic question mentioned above. The legal basis is your consent as well as the initiation or performance of beta participation (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS); the request is delivered to us by email. Your data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required – at the latest once the beta test has ended – and you can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

To provide the website we use Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) as a processor for hosting; a corresponding data-processing agreement is in place. To send the requests received via the contact or beta form by email, we use the service Brevo (Sibo SAS, Paris, France) as a processor; a data-processing agreement is in place here too and processing takes place within the EU. Transport encryption (HTTPS) is provided via certificates from Let’s Encrypt (Internet Security Research Group); no personal content is transmitted in the process. No transfer of your data to third countries outside the EU takes place beyond this – the servers are located in Germany.

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To exercise them, an informal message to the contact address stated in the imprint is sufficient.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data-protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (dsb.gv.at).
